Deborah’s experience in real estate is vast. She practiced for many years as a Notary and Title Attorney. She was also awarded the title and distinction of Notaire Honoraire by the Executive Committee of the Chambre des Notaires du Québec for integrity, competence and professionalism during her career.

As an international real estate broker, Deborah Cere is uniquely positioned to provide her clients with true global exposure, whether buying or selling in Montreal or around the world. She is part of an elite international group of real estate brokers who have been awarded the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the U.S. and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). She possesses a strong educational background, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, a Graduate Diploma in Community Politics and the Law, a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from the Faculty of Law, McGill University, and a Diplôme de Droit Notarial from the Université de Montréal. A recognized expert in the industry, Deborah trains both new and established brokers. She teaches real estate at John Abbott College and holds the position of Director of Professional Development and Trainer to over 145 brokers at Groupe Sutton Centre-Ouest Inc. in NDG and Westmount.

Striving to stay well ahead of emerging capabilities, Deborah has also obtained certifications from the National Association of Realtors and the Canadian Real Estate Association which include the Certified Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) designation and the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation that enables her to meet the growing needs of a mature clientele approaching senior-specific lifestyle transitions. She is also internationally certified in advanced real estate marketing, holding the EPro certification.

Deborah was raised in the west-end of Montreal, and is the mother of two grown boys. Her main personal interest and passion over the years has been in home design. Her designs have been featured in a premier Québec decorating magazine, Sofa Deco. Helping people has always been a driving force for Deborah. Over the years, she has been greatly involved in community services through active volunteering for various non-profit organizations such as the former Junior League of Montreal in Westmount, west-end libraries, Loyola High School and initiating social action to preserve the unique character of Montreal West.
